Boots

It is winter here (giving you guys some cool thoughts!) and I've just bought a new pair of black boots. It has been ages since I've worn high boots- tell me what are the rules? I mostly have bootcut jeans can I wear them over them? And the skirts should be above the knee, correct? Sorry, I am a bit slow in the boot department as we get mostly warm weather here, so I live in flip-flops, peep toes and flats.

Re: Boots

There should be a little space between your boots & your skirt, so , if the boots come to just below your knee, the skirt should be just above it.

For pants, I wear mine under my boot cut pants. They might be too bulky to tuck in, but a lot of people tuck straight or tapered leg jeans into boots.

Re: Boots

Thanks!

My boot-cuts fit in the boots, with no problems, but I am afraid of a fashion faux-pas. The knees, when the jeans are tucked in, look good if I tuck them in properly. Still in the back of my mind I think this is wrong. Chat Icon

If your jeans fit into the boots without bulking, you should be fine.

There definitely aren't any "rules" about the space between the skirt and the boots. I wear skirts that go to my calves and wear knee high boots under them. I also wear shorter skirts....it doesn't really matter.
