Bootcamp class early pregnancy?

I JUST got my BFP I take an intense bootcamp/ step class. Should I sit the class out until my 1st dr appt? The instructor always pushes us. She gets in out faces makes us do crazy fast stuff on the step.

I was thinking about going and just telling her I was pregnant so she would take it easy on me. But then would she not want me to take class at all until I see my doctor?? WWYD?

I personally would stop taking it until your 1st doctor appointment and even after that, even when all is okay and the doctor says you can exercise, my said not to get your heartrate over 140 so if its that intense, you might want to slow down a bit

eta; you are prob right about the instructor wanting you to stop all together until your doctor appointment but she would be doing it for good reason and to protect you so that should be an indication to you.

congrats!!!!!!!!

Thanks I definitely don't want to put myself in any unnecessary risk. I leave the class panting out of breath soaking wet! I can definitely modify the moves but I would have to let her know for sure!

When we're doing jumps/squats/push ups. If we're all not doing it we have to keep going until the full class joins in!

If this is a class you've been taking for awhile, then there is no need to stop. My OB always told me that the 140 heartrate is outdated. If your body is used to working out, you should keep doing what you're used to doing.

Amy, actually I was told to stop a bootcamp class right away if I was pregnant (and that was not only by my doctor but by the bootcamp trainer too)

I would stop immediately.
