Booster Seat for Airplane
I'm undecided on whether to bring a booster seat for DS for the airplane. Do you think I need one?
He will be turning 3 the day after we leave. I think he'll be fine but I'm thinking it might be good to bring for my 19month old who will not have a seat (in case I need to switch and put him down).
What do you think? What kind of seat do you recommend?

You can't use a booster seat on an airplane they're not FAA approved.
You can use a regular 5 pt harness carseat though.

Re: Booster Seat for Airplane
Airplanes only have lap belts, so boosters would serve no purpose, since a booster is just to adjust for the shoulder belt.

I agree with PPers
My 3 yr old sat in the seat alone with no problems!
My almost 2 yr old sat on my lap - I didn't buy a seat!

you can buy this if you don't want to bring the car seat. It's FAA approved.

We just traveled with my 19 month old and brought his convertible carseat. We didn't buy him a seat, but got very lucky both ways with an empty seat. Without the convertible seat, there's no way DS would have sat safely alone.

I bought this and it's a waste ... the child can still slip down/out through the lap belt.
Ann was 21 months when I tried it.
ETA: She sat perfectly fine with just the regular seat belt at 21 months and the same at 29 months.

Re: Booster Seat for Airplane
I'm glad I posted...Thank you! I never took into consideration that it needed to be FAA approved.
