Book at Night

We read our son the same book every night. He LOVES it, and gets so excited when we say parts from the book, even when its not bedtime. But should we be reading him different books? (I do read him different books throughout the day--I normally dont get through the long ones though)

Re: Book at Night

We read two to three short books a night right before bed.

The last book is ALWAYS "Goodnight Moon"... since they were 2 months old.

In the early months, I think it really helped them to know it was bedtime... I did the same for naps, with a different book. It might be one of the reasons why we've has very smooth transition for naps and bedtime... not a lot of fussing and fighting... hopefully it stays that way... yeah, sure...lol.

Last night we read our two short books then as I started "Goodnight Moon" DD got fussy... she knew bedtime was coming but by the end she is calm and went right into the crib.

We ready other books throughout the day, but when I say it's time for bed (or she says night night), I pick her up and ask her to pick a book from the shelf...and now she always picks this book Chat Icon

Isn't it obvious?

Re: Book at Night

We read the same ones every night (Good night Moon, Snuggle up Sleepy Ones, Daddy Hugs), but lately when we're in the middle of one book she'll grab another and put it in our hands.
