Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
We have a couch from there and have it in our den. It is ok. We needed something small and the price was right. I don't think it is the most comfy thing I have ever sat it though.Someone posted on here that the padding for the showroom furniture is much better than the furniture that you actually get, not sure if that is true but I wouldn't be surprised.
We also have an accent table in our LR. We are pretty happy with that. We get lots of compliments on it and people think it's antique.

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
I was concerned about this also. We arent the type to keep the same furniture for more than 5 years anyway..we are always changing things around. BOBS prices were a breath of fresh air after seeing Raymor and Flanigans prices lol
Macys had some nice stuff on sale...we will probably look there also!! Good luck Oh and JC Penny homestore!!!

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
I have a bedroom set from Bob's. Watch the beds!!!! When it is delivered inspect it. If it doesn't look right tell them to take it back and bring a new one. They told us all the beds look like the one they gave us. It was a lie and we had a hard time getting our money back. The bed was obviously defective and I should not have signed off but they promised someone would come to fix it. The fix it guys were just delivery men sent to retrieve it and tell me there was nothing wrong and all beds look like that. We kept everything but the bed.

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
We have the "Avondale" bedroom set and also got the Bob-o-pedic. We LOVE everything and have had no problems. We also got the extra warranty with it....they fix any scratches, knicks, breaks, etc. (Thankfully we haven't had to use it yet though) I must say, Bob's customer service is such a pleasure to deal with though...when we got our set delivered, we noticed on one of the dresser drawers it was missing a stopper. We called them right after the delivery men left and instead of sending someone to come fix it, they just sent us a whole new dresser the next weekend (and took the old one out of course)

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
We got 2 bedroom sets from them. One for our bedroom and one for the guest bedroom. The delivery was very quick, came in 3 days. We are very happy so far. We also purchased their protection plan for a nominal fee which covers the furniture from all wear and tear for 5 years. We figured that since the furniture was so inexpensive we could just get new stuff in 5 years if we wanted to. I like change so it made sense for me.

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
We have couches and tables in the living room from bobs. I have no complaints about them. they are very comfortable!!
We also bought our bedroom set there. I like it alot, but it's definitely not the best quality. the drawers are much narrower and shallow, than i'm used to anyway. sometimes one or 2 of my drawers get stuck when i'm opening them. there were a few scratches on my end table when we first got them, bobs was very good about bringing another one a few days later, but it was the wrong table! i think they came back about 2-3 times when they finally brought the right one. so at least their customer service was good!

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
i don't live in the "you get what you pay for" motto anymore. no matter what high quality stuff you get, or top dollar you pay, something will happen to it.
my husband and i argue all the time about furniture. he says "back when i was growing up, my parents never got rid of furniture, they still have the dining / kitchen set that we had while i was growing up (he is 38)."
I say "yeah, great... it's ugly."
we live in such a "disposable" age now and get tired of thigs so fast that we always change looks of rooms, etc...
i figure you are lucky to keep furniture for more than five years before you get "tired" of it.
KWIM? so who cares how cheap it is, is basically my point. unless you want to keep it for more than X number of years.
am i going to get slammed by people with that opinion?
ETA: we spent top dollar on a den set that my kids destroyed. I'm talking black sharpie! that's what i mean by 'something will happen to it'

We've bought a bunch of furniture from Bob's... no complaints so far. The best is the delivery (so worth the $99)... they won't let you touch a thing until it's is in your house and set up... they do it all.

I am glad to see this because we really can not afford much on furniture and we will need some items pretty quickly.

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
I have to add on here. I have a bedroom set (Brooke I beleive) and a pull out couch (so comfortable) The quality is great. My only complaint is the pull out bed is not very comfy but doable.
I am very happy with what we bought.

Re: Bobs Discount Furnature
We bought our bedroom set and dining room set from Bob's and I have no complaints.
Both look really nice.
Dining room table top had a flaw (not even all that noticeable) and they came back to swap it out - simple and easy.
Delivery fee was SOOO reasonable - arrived earlier than scheduled time - the workers are quick, neat and courteous - they just don't all speak english.....
We also took out the additional warranty.
