BLue lips in toddler
Every now and then I notice DD's lips are a bluish/purple. There doesn't seem to be anything else wrong with her and it doesn't happen all time or after any specific activity. Mostly in the AM though. She doesn't feel cold. I did bring her into the peditician once because her lips were blue and she was lethargic and he felt it was lack of sugar after a stomach virus. Ever since that its happened a few more times (but not the lethargy.)
Does anyone else have this happen? She's 2.

Re: BLue lips in toddler
This happened to DS a couple of times when he was younger. My ped. recommended I see a cardiologist to rule anything more serious out.
The cardiologist said sometimes it happens in small children when they get over excited, cry too hard, etc. There blood flow is different than ours, it's not as mature yet.
ETA: Here is my post about blue lips in DS
