Blu-ray
Does anyone have one??? Is it worth the money?? We just ordered a new TV and I am on the fence if we should get a blu-ray player. DH wants to get a Playstation 3 so we can have both

You'll definitely notice the difference.
We have a PS3. I think it's the best way to go (getting the PS3) cause then you're killing two birds with one stone.

I am spoiled and can't watch a non-blu ray movie now.
DH got me a blu ray player when the first came out (we were still dating). It's amazing. I got him a PS3 last year for Christmas. Now we have the PS3 in the den and the blu ray in the bedroom - it's so worth the $$ and definitely worth it if you're getting a new TV.

Blur ray is pretty amazing, but you don't realize it until you have it. We have a PS3 which has the blue-ray. DS got it when it 1st came out so it was like $700!

Go for the PS3. It's totally worth it. We don't buy all movies in blu-ray but movies like Star Trek or shows like Lost in blu-ray are AMAZING! I mean what a difference!

Go with the PS3, its one of the better quality Blu Ray players.. and yes there is a difference.
Plus you get a PS3, for about the same price as most good blue ray players. BONUS

we were going to get a ps3 but got the blue ray instead - neither of us really play with the ps3 but i thought it would be nice to have it - kill 2 birds with one stone..
problem with ps3 is that it plays blue rays but does not convert regular dvds to hi def.
blue ray plays blue ray dvds but also converts regular dvds to hi def.
that was what was explained to us when we bought ours and we did some research online that told us the same thing...
