Blinds to go is VERY overpriced. I just ordered Romans for my two front windows. JC Penny was the best price for what I was looking for,

i got beautiful wooden blinds from lowes!! they cut it to order, so they fit perfectly, they are real wood and they look great!
for my bedroom we did curtain/drapes and got those at BBB and ikea.
office has the cheapo white blinds. got them from lowes. they were like $3 or some ridiculously cheap amount.

I was just in Lowes the other day and for $32 they come in and measure all your windows and for $86 they install them all. I priced out the faux wood blinds by Levolor and they weren’t much more than the prices on the shelf. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet but I’m 99% sure I will this weekend. My husband is not a handy man and for that price it’s not worth the time and aggravation to me.
For curtains and rods I went to Bed Bath and Beyond with a ton of 20% off coupons. To me they are very expensive but I had a ton of gift cards. I just have to get my husband to put the rest of them up!

I shopped around and Budget Blinds had the best prices and the blinds came quickly and installed in a couple hours.
I got faux wood blinds on two huge windows and all the living room windows and plantation shutters on the huge window in the kitchen.

We just ordered roman shades from home depot. We wanted cordless, top bottom/bottom up and the only company who does this is Levelor, which HD carries. We had two companies come to our house and they gave us quotes of $2k plus. We got everything at home depot for $1300.
