Bleeding after a C-section ? (total TMI warning)
So, how was the bleeding after your c-section? Was it gross and muchusy like? Everytime I go to the bathroom, there is a muchusy trail of blood. Almost like it is my muchos plug or something. Anyone else experience this?

almost like an orangey/bloody fluid? YES, i had this for the 2 weeks following my C. I didnt bleed heavily at all though, very little actually.
when was your C?

yes. i spoke to my OB at my follow up appointment about it. i told him i felt like i was bleeding too much & he said something that made so much sense....
'your version of too much and mine are likely very different'. i was like, hmmmmm...so right. :)

I bled for a full 6 weeks - lots of blood the first 2-3 weeks - clumps!!! I guess it's normal.

I bled for what felt like ages!!! 6 plus weeks and it was very clotty and a lot!!!!

Those are clots.
They will get smaller every day and eventually go away. But just to warn you.... they will come back with each period.. at least for me they do.

YES! That's exactly it! Orangy bloody fluid muchus. Its not that heavy, just gross. My C was last Thursday.

Really? They look nothing like the clots I get with my pperiod. Ugh! So gross.

Ditto... I really thought I wouldn't b/c I had a c. Boy was I wrong. First 2 or 3 weeks very heavy then the last couple of weeks was sporadic

YES! That's exactly it! Orangy bloody fluid muchus. Its not that heavy, just gross. My C was last Thursday.
totally normal. it will stop and then bleeding will start again, that is normal too. when you least expect it - BAM, heavy bleeding. be prepared at ALL times

i just want to add, i always knew a "bleed" was coming because i would feel like a burning in my uterus area - almost like a sudden onset of a UTI but in the uterus area. like 1-2 hours later, I would bleed heavily for a little bit and then it would stop again. this happened from like 3-6 week PP
