Blast from the past

I had been looking for the email address of my second grade teacher on my elementary school's website a couple of months ago. I found it and contacted her. I was in her very first class back in the 1976-1977 school year. I remember so many things about her and what a wonderful teacher she was.

She finally got back to me today and had been rather excited to hear from me - remembering exactly who I was. She asked me if I would be interested in getting together to reminisce, and even asked for my Mom to join us. Sadly, I had to inform her of Mom's passing, but I am very excited about planning to see a wonderful lady who left a very deep impression on me.

Kids never forget the good teachers.

I'm glad to hear that she got back to you It's true- I remember some of my first teachers... I actually moved back to the town I grew up in and see some of my favorite teachers from school on a regular basis--- I run into them at the post office, restaurants, etc... and they're always so thrilled to see me, and I them.

Yeah its pretty cool to be remembered 30 plus years later. I guess I left an impression on her too.

That's so nice. I remember loving my 4ht grade teacher so much and think fondly of her!

Hope some of my old students remember me that way to!
