Blanket for 11 month old
About a week ago DH had put DS to sleep without a sleep sack and it was notably cold in the house. DS was asleep but felt cold to the touch. I didnt want to wake him to put on a sleep sack so I put a crocheted blanket my mom made on him to keep him warm. Well, now he's gotten attached to it. Now everytime I put him down without it he wakes after a short time and cries for it. Is it very dangerous to use a blanket through the night at this age? He will be 1 on the 9th.

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
DS has been sleeping with a lightweight blanket since he was about 8 months old. He needs it to sleep...I cover him with it at night when needed...He will be 1 on Sunday...

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
DS started sleeping with a blanket at 11 months (i posted the same thing ). We had to take him out of the sleepsack bc he was waking 2-3 times a night bc of it. I was nervous but he's been fine. He's 12 months now. He holds the blanket sometimes However, these last 2 days he's been putting it next to his face which has me freaked out.

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
DS sleeps with a crocheted blanket also. I have to wrap it around his lower body, it is the only way he will STTN. He just turned 7 months. I think its fine!

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
I think it's fine. James has grown VERY attached to the gauzy Adan and Anais blanket - he sleeps with it smushed up against his face. We just started letting him sleep with it when he was about 11.5 months old.

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
Our daughter has been sleeping with one since she was born. I think you are ok with letting him sleep with it.

Re: Blanket for 11 month old
i think its fine. DS uses crocheted blankets as well. i actually laid in my bed and threw the blanket on my face to make sure he'd still be able to breathe with it on...and he can
