black beans
I bought black beans today to put in tacos (ala moes). I cooked them according to the package but they still seem to be a bit hard. What should I do to make them softer?

I soak black beans for 1-2 days depending on what i am using them for and how the beans are uhhh soaking up the water? Sometimes it takes 2 days other times they're done in like 24 hours

Re: black beans
Did you buy them in the can or the ones in the bag?

Re: black beans
if you bought them dry, you should try to soak them, i usually try to do it overnight.

Re: black beans
just cook this batch longer....
soaking overnight is common practice, and speeds the cooking process, but in a pinch you can just boil them longer....
