Birthing Plan
Are you making one?
If so, what are you putting in it?

Re: Birthing Plan
I just read an article on this in Pregnancy Magazine. They said you could find samples online.
A quick search:
http://www.babyzone.com/pregnancy/birthplan/
I will do one.

Re: Birthing Plan
I'm not making one up per say.... I did however discuss with my doctor what I do and don't want at my last appointment, and will continue to reiterate my choices for pain meds throughout the duration of my PG.
Everything else can go in the basket... as long as Kristina comes out safe and sound....
ETS..... Ok now that I read that one initially posted... maybe I will create it. There are A LOT of things on there that I never even thought about....

Re: Birthing Plan
I saw on in a pregnancy book. I made alot of sense to me. (I did not have one with the other two ) They keep it in your file to look over when you get to the hospital. Just if you want to try natural first and if you want to nurse right away. If you perfer not to have an epesiotomy. If you have a boy if you plan on Circumcision or not. That you want rooming in. Your hubby to stay over night. things like that. I saw one in "The Birth Book". Great book. Lots of info and help with Labor positions, Medical interventions, and Labor experiences. FM me and I will get the Author if you want.

Re: Birthing Plan
I know what one is....and this link I thought was great.... pampers birthing plan
I just wondered, is it really necessary? Can't you just tell them what you want? I am the list queen, but I don't want to give a whole list to the nurses and dr and have them hate me and think I am obsessive.

Agree. My birthing plan is simple actually - drugs... early and often, and do what is needed to get the baby here safely.

I think it sounds useful. Of anything, I probably won't remember that day things I may have wanted to happen, so writing it down would just seem to be a good reminder.
ETA: I think the term "Birth Plan" just makes it sound formal. I prefer to think of it as "things I'll likely forget to ask for."
