When did everyone start registering and taking classes?

I think I am going to do it at 30 weeks. I would be interested in hearing other people's times though.

If you were planning to take free classes through your hospital or somewhere else, I would register way before 30 weeks. I am 29 weeks now and called about 2 weeks ago and most of the classes were full up until the month I am due.

The classes through St Charles are not free - many are around $100! I didnt expect them to be that much

my dr told my SB doesn't even offer them
my friend is taking one at st charles and its an all day class on a sat and its free n ot sure which one it is though

Stony Brook definetly does offer a few free classes..they just fill up fast!

I am taking them now and due in December. I registered for them through St. CHarles about 2 months ago. They were running a special if you purchased the Lamaze and C-Section classes you could get a third class free so I am taking the breastfeeding class for free (which is normally $25). I took the 2 hour C-section class today it was $25 and they basically give you a play by play of what will take place and what to expect should you need a C-section

I'm taking a birthing class through my hospital, Plainview. I called in early august and got in for their september classes. I would have rather gone 2 months before I was due instead of 1, but it's not the end of the world. I did just take their breast feeding class, which was free, the other night.

Can you take them at any hospital? Especially the free ones? Hospitals in the city charge a Lot!

yes most hospitals will allow you to take their classes even if you won't be delivering there
