Birthdays and diabetic
DS wants to bring in cupcakes to school for his birthday next month. One of the girls is type 1 diabetic. I don't want to leave her out. Is there anything I can get so she can have something too?
This is kindergarten enrichment. It's only 5 kids in this class and since finding out their DD is diabetic one parent has been staying in class for the few hours enrichment is.
Any advise?

Is there any way you can contact her parent? I think it would be best to ask them- or ask the teacher to ask them- what she is allowed to eat.

I contacted her aunt (my best friend). She happens to be my best friend's niece so I know the family. She said her sister can bring something in, but figured I'd ask if a local store carries goodies so she can be included.

My son has a few friends who are diabetic. Most of them either come with their own food or they can eat what we have as long as they have the ingredient list.
