Birthday venue recommendation needed
My boyfriend is turning 35 and I'd like to do something nice for him. Does anyone have any recommendations for good bars or restaurants who have a semi private space for a cheap/ decent price to have about 20+ people? I dont want to drop alot of money.
I can do an open bar deal, but since it is his 35th I was thinking something a little nicer. Any feedback or help would be appreciated! Im looking in the queens/ nassau area.

If you decide to go the bar route, my BIL's 30th birthday was at Stinger's in RVC. I don't think it was very much, maybe $30pp for drinks and some food (his gf just brought in a cake).

My brother works at Duggan's on Tulip Avenue in Floral Park. They have a private room upstairs with a separate bar and they offer a lot of different options, I don't know their exact prices but I know that they're reasonable and the room is really nice.

Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale can close off the back room for parties. I had my son's first birthday party there. The food was great and the service was excellent. Prices were reasonable (Around $34 pp with basic open bar... tap beers and well drinks)

We just had a party for my brother in the private space upstairs at mulcahays in wantagh. I first laughed when the place was picked, but I was so incredibly impressed - the space was awesome (half the room with tables, the other half bar/Lounge decor) and the food was amongst the best I've had catered in. I would have another party there in a heartbeat.

I had DH's 30th at Bowlmor Lanes in Melville (used to be 300). They have a private room with 12 bowling lanes, it's own bar, and set up buffet tables for food. I think it was around $35pp and I had around 30 people or so. It was so much fun - everyone had a blast.
