Birthday Trip?
I have a milestone B-day coming next year and I think DH and I are going to take a trip to celebrate. My Mom offered to stay home w/ DD. We'll probably go for 4-5 days. We want a nice resort with a pool, a good selection of restaurants some touristy things to do, places to shop.
I'm thinking Key West as it's a spot we've both wanted to go and it isn't the most exciting place for our 5 year old.
I'm looking for other suggestions. Because it is a shorter trip I don't want to fly more than 4-5 hours.

Re: Birthday Trip?
The downside of Key West is that ypu will probably ave to take connecting flights. I would probably lean more towards a tropical destination with a direct flight- Mexico, Barbados, Aruba, etc...

Re: Birthday Trip?
Living in Myrtle Beach, EVERYTHING is a connecting flight so other than super long layovers (I'm talking to YOU, Spirit!), I don't take that into consideration.
We really enjoy Key West and while it's a great cruise stop for kids, staying there... no so much.
What about Sandals or another adult-only all-inclusive?
