Birthday party

Would you do an 11AM Sunday kid's birthday party?
it would be at a trampoline "park"... most of the kids would be 7/8 years old. i feel like they would jump until 12, so pizza would be right at lunch time, and then everybody could be home by about 1, and have the rest of the afternoon to relax before the week?
i know people have church...so thats my only worry ( we're not regular church attenders....) or would a saturday afternoon after sports, etc on saturday morning be better??

Re: Birthday party

You might lose some people because of church/ Sunday school. But people can go to church Saturday night if they know they have your party the next morning. Saturdays are good too but I’m not sure what time kids that age generally do their activities on Saturdays, probably morning, so a Saturday afternoon party is probably good. Either day I think you’ll be ok.

That sounds good. We would probably skip mass for a party -- don't tell the priest -- LOL!

Re: Birthday party

I would totally attend on a Sunday. I live in the bible belt now though so for DS' upcoming party at a similar place we're doing Saturday at 3 hoping that that's after everyone's sports commitments.

Re: Birthday party

When DS was younger (pre-school age), I had parties at 11 am (I think I even did 10 am one year), and it worked out great. The kids weren't too tired, and it didn't take up the parents' whole day on a weekend.

My DS is 9 (turning 10 in December), and he (and most of his friends) have multiple sports commitments on weekends. So I started having parties later in the day (I've done Friday evening parties, too, which worked out well for a lot of people).

I think it just depends on the age and the crowd, but nothing inherently wrong with an earlier party, imo. Really just depends on whether it will work for most of your invitees (if you even care about that).
