Birthday gift for classmate?
My kids were invited to a bday for a girl in their class. I know nothing about her. What should I get her? I have 2 nieces a little bit older and they are into different things so I am not sure what most girls are into.

My kids were useless, they couldn't tell me anything about her except she wears lots of ponytails.  They talk about her all the time so I know they are friendly with her but never anything of detail. The mom called and DH told them we were coming when she called 2 days before the RSVP date, so I feel like a tool calling her now.
Guess a gift card is always a good safe bet.
ETA: She is turning 5.

If you don't do a gift card, Littlest Pet Shop, Barbies, zhu zhu pets are a huge hit for the 5 yr old girls I know :) HTH

Well I planned on the gift receipt because that is the most important thing, that they can return it, LOL.
Mattingly told me today he wants to get her a Barbie doll. I asked him why does she like Barbie dolls, he said "I don't know, she's a girl all girls like Barbies."
Hopefully they will ask her today what she likes if not a gift certificate will probably be the best route. Or maybe a barbie and a gift certificate to keep Mattingly happy.
