For DDs 2nd birthday (minnie themed) at a play gym, I got mickey and minnie water bottles (and i'd be wrapping it in a small bag w/a small coloring book, crayons and stickers. First, do you think that's a good favor? I'm clueless with this stuff. Second, as I was walking out I asked if the water bottles were dishwasher safe (b/c they were only 2 dollars each from party city) and they said probably not. Now I'm torn. A water bottle that isn't dishwasher safe is almost useless w/kids, but DH said it's just a favor and to leave it and it's a good favor. What do you think? Should I return everything? I don't even know what else to get. I don't really want to do edible favors.

I think that's a cute idea. Does it say anywhere on the bottom if its dishwasher safe or not? Maybe you could look on their website and look up the product and see if it says it there?

Even still, I don't think it's a problem. I'd like that as a favor and kids always love coloring books and such.

I think it's a cute favor and I've gotten favors like this alot. At the end of the day, there are different things the parents can use them for (holding crayons, markers etc.) so they can be useful even if they don't use them as a cup. Since you already bought them I wouldn't stress it!
