Birthday Entertainment
I am having a 40th surprise party for my SH and I am looking for someone to come and do a roast - anyone know of anybody?? TIA

It is when they kind of make fun of the birthday person, but it should be funny not mean...I thought it would be different b/c my dh loves Howard Stern and they always do it on his show

OK, I wasn't sure if this was it or not.
Don't the friends usually do this? I don't know how it would work with a company coming in a doing it.
BTW- I think it's a great idea!

Thanks!! Everyone I got quotes from was 300 for 30 minutes and that is way out of my budget...

Of course not! I believe you give them information, either via questionaire or interview about the roastee and then they make up an approx. 30 min. roast and then they perform it.

I think any kind of entertainment is going to be around that price point. You should send out something with the invitations inviting people to come up at the party and tell funny/embarassing stories about your DH. That would probably be funnier and more personal anyway.

ITA - We did this for my cousin's 40th birthday and it was a lot of fun.
