Birth Control
Hi Ladies,
I need some birth control recommendations. I was thinking of going on Mirena but after reading all the posts on here i dont think thats a good option. I would like to stay away from a daily pill since i will probably forget to take it.
What is some other good options i can look into?

I"ve never done it but have heard the depo shot is good.

I was on this years ago and definitely wouldn't recommend it. Breakthrough bleeding is common with it and I've heard people say they had a hard time getting pregnant after coming off depo.

There is also the paragard IUD which has no hormones.

I had mirena for 2.5 years before having it removed to ttc number 3. I thought it was great. I didn't get periods on it, which was awesome. When I had it removed, I got my period 2 weeks later. Got pregnant on the cycle after that. After my third is born, I will get it again for 5 years. After that, dh will likely get snipped.

Mirena was my first choice...we say we are done having kids but who knows what the future holds. Im going to research it more...thank you!

I was also on this years ago and it was horrible. I gained a ton of weight.
I am on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo now and its fine. I stopped when I wanted to try for DD and was pregnant the first month. I don't trust anything that stops my period anymore.
