Birth Announcents
We plan to send these out after she arrives  Did you send or are you planning to send a photo with the announcement? My sister said she didn't and all the announcements she receives are without a photo. Most I have received came with a photo.
DH suggested we send just the annoucenment, no photo and when we send the Thank You cards for gifts we can send a photo with that.

We sent a photo collage announcement from pictureitcards.com
I think every one I've ever gotten has been a photo.

personally, I love the ones with a photo - you actually see the baby which is fun.....I am usually disappointed when I don't get one...but thats just me!
