Birds Trapped Inside Wall
There is a bird or birds trapped inside the wall of my condo. :P
I would need to knock a hole in the wall to get the !#$!$ bird(s) out. And I'm upset 'cus this is the second time this has happened! Those birds just seem to find a way in! I've already called my building's management company to fix this asap so it doesn't happen again.
Has anyone had to deal with this? What happens if the bird doesn't get freed in time? Can its body cause a stench?

Are you sure it's "trapped"...
We currently have a nest of baby birds in our sofits in the kitchen. DH has patched up the whole and they still get in. Our sofits must be baby making paradise...
They usually leave when the babies are big enough.

I would just have management figure out how they are getting in so they don't get in, in the future. You don't want bird mites.

Management has to figure out where they are getting in from. If they die in there ... they will probably smell. Same thing happened in my cousins condo. It reeked for a while but the smell eventually went away. Hopefully the birds your hearing will just find their way out and management can seal it up.

Re: Birds Trapped Inside Wall
Thanks ladies, I know the birds are nesting up in the attic/crawlspace. Sometimes the baby birds fall into the space betwee the wall and can't get out. There's just no room for the mother to get to them and they can't fly out of the narrow space.
The bird or birds are chirping very audibly for the mother even at night so I know they are trapped.
Will try to get them out to avoid stench of bird rot and mites!

please please get them out ASAP. When they die, the bird mites look for another host - humans!
