Biotin

Does anyone take this to speed up hair growth/make hair grow in more healthy?

Where would I find this?

took it after I had DD bc my hair was falling pout so much, not really sure if it helped though, could have just been timing ( it was about a year after DD and I think that's when hair stops falling out as much anyway)
I got it at CVS or DR pharmacy, or a vitamin stores have it too.

Yup, I take it and I think it works beautifully!

You can find it at any drugstore.

I took it for a short time, and my hair and nails were definitely healthier.

However, I broke out horribly while I was on it. I have acne-prone skin anyway, but I think there was definitely a connection between the Biotin and my breakouts. I researched it and found out that the Biotin increases sebum. Once I stopped taking it, the type of breakout I was experiencing stopped.

I'd definitely give it a try, because as I said my hair and nails definitely benefited from it. I'd just be aware of the possibility as acne as a side-effect, although for many this is a non-issue.

I took it for several months after the birth of my second son. I saw no difference in anything.

I found that there really is no strong (medical or scientific) evidence that supports the idea that Biotin helps with hair/nail growth and/or strength. Apparently the jury is still out on that one.

That being said, I didn't notice any negative side effects. I purchased mine at the grocery store.
