binky - age -
Hi my baby is 6.5 months and still prefers the 0-3 month green soothie binky. Is that okay or is it bad for his mouth or anything? It is softer than the next size I know.. but he doesn't go for it.. he doesn't use a binky too often but about 1-2 x a day..

The reason it is labeled for 0-3 month is because an older baby can choke on it, as it is too small for their mouths. I would definitely go to the correct size.

Don't feel dumb at all! You're new to mommyhood- I'm 2.5 years and 2 kids in and still learning all the time! I didn't think of it either until my first son was a few months old and I read it somewhere.

I have twins but one of them takes to the soothi binky also. He is now 8.5 months old & can't seem to get him to like a different one. I wish I had not started this one but it doesnt continue to grow with him.

My DS used the same pacifier (Soothie attached to the Wubbanub) until 2 wks before his 2nd birthday. The only thing I noticed was his pallet was narrowing. Thankfully it went back to normal very quickly.

DD is 15 months old and still uses her original soothies. Never had an issue (that's not to say it's impossible), but I have NEVER seen her try to put the whole thing in her mouth. I bought her the larger/firmer ones and she refuses to use them.
Honestly, I'm not very concerned.

With soothie I believe the difference is firmness, not size (there is a, smaller premie soothie though) and the danger is biting off a piece.
