We’re thinking in getting my almost 5 yr old a children’s bmx bike for his bday. What stores have a good variety?

I just got my daughter a great bike from Dicks, they had a great selection. Normally we always went to toysrus, so I really had no clue where to go, so was pleasantly surprised with Dicks.

Which Dicks did u go to? The one in commack doesn’t have too many for little kids

I think Walmart has great bikes! We always buy bikes there. They assemble them for free if you order from online. They carry Schwinn, etc.!

I've gone to Walmart for bikes, too. Especially for young kids. They outgrow their bikes so fast, and they aren't going on 50 mile treks.
When they are teenagers, and riding full-size bikes, and going on longer distances, then it matters more what brand/features/weight you get. At this age, as long it's the right size, that's all that matters.

We got one from toys r us last month for our 5yo. Dh is a bit of a bike expert so he always looks around online for reviews and we usually end up at tru steering dd toward the one he picked. I can't remember if our ****'s had many in store but he didn't find anything on their site that he liked bc I know we at least checked online.
