Bigger/less frequent bottles + longer naps = more sleep at night?

DD will be 5 months next week. She has been sleeping 7-5 for awhile at night.

Just recently she seems to be trending towards bigger bottles less frequently during the day and going from little cat naps here and there to 2 long naps.

Last night she went from 7-7. Coincidence? Or the result of this new daytime schedule?

Please say 7-7 is here to stay!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

The more DS sleeps during the day, the better he sleeps at night!

This is most likely her new schedule Chat Icon That's right around the age DS started with two solid naps and 7-7! How awesome! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I always heard sleep begets sleep! So maybe that is why.

I am jealous about the bigger bottles. DD is still drinking 6 x 6oz bottles a day which people keep telling me is ridiculous. . . but if I increase the bottle size she still drinks the same number of bottles and then just pukes more LOL

YES!

This is how I sleep trained DS at 3m following Baby Sleep Solution (by Giordano)
This is the main principle that sleep training is based on at early age.

My DD is the same! I try to give her more than 6 ounces per bottle and she just refuses the extra.
She stops at 6 oz...i can put 8 ounces in the bottle but she'll only take 6.
I can't force her to drink more so 6 ounces it is!

Same here!! She was maxing out at about 5.5 and would just puke out the rest.. but lately she's been pulling some 7's and 8's... DH and I were in awe... she was guzzling like a frat boy at a kegger.. it was nuts!

DD has been doing 7-7 since she's 3 mos old. She was always into bigger bottles...at 3 mos we dropped from 5 to 4 bottles a day...always takes an 8oz bottle. Now at 7 mos she has 3 meals a day and only 3 8oz bottles...and she sleeps even longer now!
Enjoy!

Now, what you have to do is go to bed right after she does -- and you can get a normal person's amount of sleep!
