big gift for 4-5 year old boy
We want to get DS one big gift this holiday season 100-300 range instead of several small gifts. Any ideas? Something he could use now but also grow with. He has a bike and and an outdoor house, and a battery operated outdoor car. He has an Ipad and my old phone. He has a small train/lego table and I think he'd outgrow a large train table too quickly. he's really into legos/building things, dinosaurs and spaceships. Any ideas??

He's got a lot of stuff. Magnatiles are not flashy and are pricey, but are worth every dollar.

following- bc i'm in the same boat! HAHA DS is about to turn 5... he's the only child and only grandchild on BOTH sides- so he literally has EVERYTHING!!! 3 battery cars for outside, iPad, etc, etc, etc!! LOL so we're thinking the same thing for this year- one big gift. Does your son have any of the Imaginext stuff?? My son is really into those lately! There is an Imaginext Battle Rover thing-- its HUGE- has a spaceship "shooter", all kinds of things to push and turn, etc... its a lot of fun and something i can see him playing with for a few years or what about maybe a bounce house or big trampoline for the yard or something??

We've probably got several thousand dollars worth of toys - and I could take them all away and leave DS with his Magna Tiles and he'd be fine. They totally occupy him and nurture his creativity and sense of physics, if you will.
