Big brother/ sister gift?
Is anyone not getting their older child a gift from the new baby when it's born?
Just curious
I honestly have not even thought about it yet and have never heard of doing this prior to LIF.

Yup. DD will be just about 2 when the baby arrives and she is OBSESSED with babies and her baby dolls so I got her a little tykes changing station/crib for her dolls. It's hiding out at my mom's house for now. I figure when she wants to imitate mommy we can change our babies diapers at the same time. 
I also plan on having a basket of lots of new little toys to break out in those early weeks when I need time to nurse.

I'm not. DS is only going to be 19 months, he really doesn't get it. I'll just bring out a toy that he hasn't played with in awhile, he won't know the difference lol.

DD will only be 23 months and I feel like she wont really get it either. I am still not sure what I am going to do.

I will, DD will be turning 3 with in days of dc#2 arrival. She is already showing signs of jealousy. Anytime we talk about the baby, she says, "No I'm your baby mama"
will have one for the hospital and one for the homecoming. DD is going to be pretty shell shocked I think.

I'm absolutely doing this. People are going to bring all kinds of stuff or the new baby and I want to make sure DD feels special and included.
As the oldest of 4, I always got presents when my mom had a baby. I cleaned up lol.

I found this!! I thought it was so cute! I will give the BIG SIS one to my DD when the baby arrives and save the LIL SIS one for the baby for later use!
