BH? is this it?

Okay girls so i'm just curious if i'm making stuff up (because i want to feel something Chat Icon) or if this is BH's.

Yesterday morning i was lying around in bed watching my stomach and all of a sudden my stomach got really hard for about a minute or 2 and i felt very slight menstral like cramps. Then it stopped and 10 minutes later it happened again. However if i wasn't lying around, i don't think i would have felt it.

Now last night i woke up to pee and the same thing happened... my stomach was tight/hard and this time it felt like i had to poop kind of cramps.

So are these both BH contractions? Chat Icon

I never had BH when I was pregnant w/Hayley but my Dr did tell me that my stomach would get really hard then relax. So maybe they were BH for you

Re: BH? is this it?

Yep, sounds like BH. I've been getting them constantly from about 22 weeks on. They're starting to get very uncomfortable - I'm 36 weeks now.

When you get them try to drink some water, go to the bathroom, or switch positions. They should usually stop.

WOOHOO!! Congrats! Chat Icon lol

Your body is getting ready for labor girlie!

Being that you never really noticed them before, I would be sure to tell your doc that you are feeling them now. I would hate for them to be REAL contractions and that they are being passed off as BH, KWIM? Chat Icon

Well yeah. Chat Icon But unless there's a significant pattern or consistency, then calling the doctor wouldn't do anything... right?

Sorry i'm new at this! Chat Icon

LOL Yes, but you've never had a baby before, so for all you know, who's to say that you just don't have a higher threshold for pain? DH has an aunt who was 9 cm and in court (she's an attorney), and almost didn't make it to the hospital because she didn't think anything of the pains she was getting. lol

LOL wouldn't that be fun! Listen, I am a pretty carefree, laidback person, but one thing I'd want to be sure of is whether or not I was really in labor. (plus I wouldn't want to be so far along that I couldn't have the option of drugs! LOL)
