BH Contractions...do they hurt anyone else?

BH Contractions...do they hurt anyone else?
So I had my first bout of Braxton Hicks yesterday.
Everything I read says they shouldn't hurt, but they were like moderately bad period cramps.
Doctor said they were definitely BH.
Did anyone else experience pain with theirs???

I think I may have been having them this morning. I had really bad cramps in my lower abdomen. I don't know if i would say "painful" but VERY uncomfortable. They seem to have subsided for now.

Mine "hurt". I think when they say that [they won't hurt], they mean you won't be screaming in agony. I definitely have to take a moment to regain my composure when they strike because they are a bit painful.

Yes. They don't always hurt, but one night they were so bad they woke me up, and I had to get out of bed and walk to make them go away.

hmmm...when I had BH's they werent cramps...they were contractions..tightening and releasing and not painful, just the tightening feeling.
I have been having cramps ( like period cramps) off and on and the Dr. Told me they were just cramps...things moving, or intestional from eating.
Im more confused now.

My doc said if they were intestional or from the baby moving, they would probably NOT stop when I changed positions.
Mine were fairly rhythmic and as soon as I changed positions they stopped.
