Yes, I did both from day 1, but I only gave one bottle of formula per day. You need to BF frequently to build and regulate your milk supply--especially in the beginning. So during the first month or so I was nursing about 10x per day and FF 1x.

We have from the start. In the beginning, while my milk was coming in, I used formula to supplement and he was fine. For quite a while it was just BM (in the bottle) but at 3.5 months had to go back to formula for daycare (he gets BM at home and all weekend) and he adjusted fine. But again...he has always had the bottle.

I supplemeted from day one as well. She would get breastfed and only get a bottle like once a day in the beginning...She was 100% on formula at 3 months

I started supplementing with formula after a few weeks. It worked out well for me, I felt like I had the best of both worlds.

I had no choice to do it in the beginning when he wasnt latching on very well, I still do now if I dont have time to pump or if he's at my moms. I haven't had any problems with it!
