BF moms--you know I always have questions for you
I started noticing that DD's nose is always stuffy after she nurses. Yesterday, I pulled away slightly and notice that she was dripping milk from her bottom nostril as she was nursing 
I've tried putting her on a slight incline, but it only seems to work some of the time. Anything else I can do? My nasal aspirator is getting a daily workout and I'm tired of being sneezed on and covered in my own milk!

does she have a cold? My DS is sometimes stuffed with a cold and its hard for him to nurse, I find if I wipe the boogs with a tissue I can eventually improve the breathing.

DD was born in February & has been stuffy ever since! It's very common in newborns, I don't think it's BF related necessarily. Do you have a humidifier? That, plus saline drops & the aspirator are all you can really do this young. Keep a burp cloth handy!

My ped told me that congestion comes with BFing territory and will go away when I stop BFing.

have you tried rubbing some hand expressed breast milk on her nose? it helped my DD when she had a stuffy nose.

I think I should clarify, maybe I didn't word it correctly...
DD is never stuffy when she begins to nurse. The milk traveling up to her nose it's what's causing the stuffiness and "booginess".
She's only stuffy and congested AFTER she nurses. Does that make any sense?

I remember this. I swear that DS was so hungry and sloppy that he inhaled it through his nose. I just want you to know that you're not the only one.
I tried tilting his head up more, but I think he just grew out of it.
