BF Moms who have supplemented with formula
I have EBF my daughter for the past 4 1/2 months. Recently, I noticed that she seemed hungrier than before. I went back to work a month ago and am concerned that my supply is weakening a bit. (I work out of my car so I can only pump twice during work.)
I am fine supplementing with formula.
We started mixing some of her bottles with 1/2 BM and 1/2 formula yesterday. Since then, she STTN last night (9pm-6:30am) and slept a ton today including a 2 1/2 hour nap that the babysitter woke her up from because she was concerned since my DD never sleeps for this long.
She also started rice cereal in the evenings about 5 days ago.
Has anyone else experienced this after introducing formula? I don't know whether or not to be concerned. Obviously I am thrilled she STTN, but now that she's sleeping a ton during the day too I just want to make sure it's not a bad reaction.
Thanks!

Re: BF Moms who have supplemented with formula
Anytime my DD's appetite picked up and she slept more than usual she was going through a growth spurt. Babies also sleep more/in a different pattern when they are going through different milestones. If your DD is starting to move around more or do more active "learning" things during the day she may need more sleep just as a coincidence to you starting formula.
You may notice her appetite goes back down in a week or two, or not, but it doesn't sound like a bad reaction to me!
