Bf/baby wearing mommas
Have you mastered BFing while baby is in the carrier? I have an Ergo w/ infant insert & a Moby wrap. If really like to figure out how to feed DS while wearing him in the Ergo. Right now in like a DD-is that too big for it to work? Any resources to help me figure out the best way to do this?

I found nursing in a sling wrap to be easiest.

Re: Bf/baby wearing mommas
Not yet but I'm ready to try. I think it's easier in an SSC like the Ergo...loosen the straps and shift baby downwards. But I agree I think it is best if they are out of the insert and can hold their head up. DS often nurses now in a sitting upright position so it shouldn't be too hard to get him to latch while in a carrier. If I had him in a cradle hold while he was a newborn it would have been simple enough but he always liked to be upright.

Thanks he's 4 weeks and def not ready to be out of the insert. But I'll try once he's a little older. It's not like we go out a lot now anyway, but I hope to have masters this technique by the summer, as I'm sure I'll be wearing him. A lot as I chase after my then 3 year old Dd.

No, but I wish I could figure it out. We have a Bjorn and a K'tan. I probably should watch some You Tube videos to see how to do it.

There is a baby wearing association that meets occasionally at the pat med library. I would guess some of those moms would be really helpful. I'm not sure the details but you could try calling the library to see if they have any meetings coming up.

Like PPs said, I couldn't do it until he was out of the infant insert, b/c I had to lower him significantly in the ergo. Very easy to do in the sling. I once did a whole grocery shopping trip with the baby and my older DS while nursing baby in a sling! :)

Apparently I can't add anyone unless we're friends on FB but it isn't a secret group.
