BF & growth spurts...around 6 weeks old
I have been BF since birth. It seems the last couple of days, DS wants to eat more frequently during the day. I fed him yesterday, had my mother-in-law watch him for two hours, and within 1 hour he was hysterical and drank 4 oz of pumped milk in a bottle. We usually give DS one bottle during the night feeding.
Is it true that they go through a growth spurt at 6 weeks and eat more?
I just feel so inadequate that I can't satisfy DS. I never know if I am giving him too much or not enough

My DS also had a growth spurt around that time. 6 weeks is very common for a growth spurt....
I am also EBF and during a growth spurt he would eat hourly....It felt non-stop
As long as they're peeing/pooping then they are getting enough...

Yes, there is a 6 wk growth spurts. Growth spurts are the WORST when you're BFing, they eat non-stop and you feel like your boobs are going to fall off.
Hang in there

DS had a growth spurt around that time. It is awful! All they do is eat and sleep. I would feed him and an hour later he would be crying for more. He also seemed to be getting aggravated while nursing. He would pull off and go back over and over again. I thought there was something wrong with my supply. It only lasts a few days. Hang in there!
