Better days to book flights over others?
Is there a better day of the week to BOOK your flight than others? I know that it's better to fly on Tues & Wed, but is there a better day of the week to book?

I read that it's cheapest on late Wednesday nights. I don't know why though.

Not saying you should do this, but we got the cheapest flight two days before we flew! I was really surprised b/c it was so last minute and it was Xmas time. We bought them on the 18th and flew out the 20th.
We only got it last minute b/c of the snow crisis in Europe and two of our flights had already been cancelled. We got lucky!

I've heard that you can sometimes get very cheap tickets when you book in the middle of the night....

I have had luck getting lower fares booking later on Wednesday evening. The last time I went to Tampa there was an $80 difference between Monday afternoon and Wednesday night.

Tues/Weds are the best days to book. Weekends are the most expensive. Sales are usually announced on Mondays/Tuesdays so other airlines will lower their rates to compete with the carrier holding the sale.
