Better Business Bureau Ratings ?
How much do they impact your decision?
I'm a big old nerd, so I have all my estimates for certain things with the prices and other info on my comp, and I started looking up BBB ratings to add to my notes....some of them are F's......
what is your experience in this?

A or B is OK in my book - anything less - I steer clear.

Re: Better Business Bureau Ratings ?
I would not use someone with an F thats for sure, if they have a lot of complaints within the last year I would stay away also. I try to always go with someone who has an A!

Re: Better Business Bureau Ratings ?
I would be wary of using just BBB ratings-Members can pay to increase their ratings with BBB-which is just too shady in my opinion. Not that all companies with good ratings on BBB are suspect but you never know. Check out this recent article in NYtimes..an eye opener, for sure. Be sure to compare the ratings at Angie's List, Find a Pro etc before deciding.
