Beta says...
Negative!
I kind of figured since I started spotting 2 days ago. Now I just wait for AF day 1 and begin again.
Has anyone done a clomid cycle without IUI? DH doesn't have any issues so I'm thinking it might be the way to go. I just hate all of those appointments.
Good news though- if I get pregnant this month, I'll be out on maternity leave over Christmas. My job won't be too happy, but oh well.

Re: Beta says...

When I was under the care of an OB (prior to seeing an RE) we did 7 cycles of Clomid w/out IUI with no success... Clmoid does have a tendency to dry your CM, so it can make it difficult for the sperm to swim where they need to go...IUI eliminates that problem by bringing it to the egg for you ...Just something to consider... My DS was conceived on my 3rd IUI cycle after switching to the RE...
Good Luck

I'm with Dr. B. He said it won't make much difference, but then I don't get why they did it in the first place if it didn't matter
We use preseed, so would that help with the CM issue?
I think it will come down to timing and when AF comes and my work schedule.

I have heard good things about Pre-seed (I actually bought some online right before we switched to RE, but then never used it because we did the IUI)
IUI's do increase your chances a bit more than regular , but its not a tremendous amount ...
The thing is, I would "think" that even with foregoing IUI, you will still need to be monitored on the Clomid to check for follie size and timing ( as well as to check your lining and to make sure there are no cysts etc...) ...So I'm not sure how many fewer appts that would yield you.....I don't know for certain though

The monitoring apt doesnt bother me so much. It's once. Even if I had to go back twice. It's the getting mine and DHs schedules together that kills me. It's like a 3 hour thing. He has to drop off. I go back in an hour. I wait an hour PAST my apointment. Too much. I might just take 2 days off if I decide to do it.

Re: Beta says...
First...so sorry...
As for the preseed...I love it as I do not make as much CM as I used to. Also, the very first cycle I used it in combination with Instead cups..I became pregnant..albeit a chemical. There have of course been cycles where I've used it to no avail because we basically use it throughout the entire cycle as a lubricant because we really like it.
