Beta is in...

I am 14 days post IUI.

Got a light positive 9 days post IUI

My Beta today is 308!!! I am happy of course, but wracked with anxiety at the possibility of twins. I went into this only having 1 lead follie, and 3 smaller ones, so I thought I was ok for avoiding a clomid twin. Please tell me there is hope that it could still be a singleton??

I know my DH and I will deal with whatever comes, you have to dealing with IF, but I am so so scared.....

Ahhh! You sound like me 2 weeks ago!

My beta was 67 at 11dpiui and 220 at 13dpiui. More than tripled in 2 days. AND I had 3 mature follies at the time of IUI. My beta was probably around yours at 14dpiui.

However, I went for my first sono last week and there was just 1 happy little sac in there.

There's still hope you have a singleton, don't worry! When's your first sono scheduled for?

Congrats! betas are not always indicators of whether you are having multiples or not. Either way though that's great news

It is good news. I am just overwhelmed at the moment..first US wont be for another week - 10 days. I am hoping that its just an early implanter and multiplier...time will tell, and I know we will take it as it comes.

I had a vanishing twin my first pregnancy, and I had always wished it had stuck...so maybe that wish carried over to now. Will just have to accept what comes...

I was told that HcG levels are not indicators of singleton or mutiple births...they all range and every pregnancy yeilds different numbers...

From my BPF last tuesday my Hcg was doubling every 1.2 days... I went from 18.5 and 4 days later was 181 and we only transferred 1 embie.

Hey, you never know!!!! But CONGRATS on being PREGNANT!!!!!!! AMAZZZZZZING NEWS!!!!!!!!!

1 or 2 ---I hope you have a safe pregnancy and helathy baby(ies)

Re: Beta is in...

congrats on your pregnancy.
many ladies on here would kill for any positive beta...that being said your beta isn't CRAZY high, its not completely indicative of multiples, no beta number in itself is. progesterone tends to be more telling than beta (presuming you're not on PIO).

also, you can never ever assume you are "Safe" from multiples when doing a medicated cycle. there is no such thing.

my beta at 13dpo was 197 and at 15dpo was 479. it was twins but only one developed into a baby, the other remained an empty sac. remember that no matter what your beta is, no matter what your first sono shows, no matter how many sacs or heartbeats you see, be happy if you get to go home with a baby, because many do not!! tons of luck and singleton Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you!

This is VERY true... The number of babies you see initially, whether it be one or two or three or whatever ... is no guarantee of how many you will take home in 9 months. Be happy for every positive milestone! You've got great news so far!

Thank You AllChat Icon

I will take what comes, and yes I AM happy. There is more to my story why I am scared of multiples. I worry I won't be able to carry them. I and my son nearly died when I had him, so it's just a lot of fear.

Yes, I am blessed, to have this first little step be positive, and blessed to have a healthy beautiful boy already (I almost lost him).

I wish everyone to get BFP, I know the struggle is very very hard for some, and I just wish you all the bestChat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Beta is in...

I had very high betas. Typical twin numbers and I opnly had one.

Mine #s were much higher than yours. I foudn out the high numbers does nto always mean a twin.
