Re: Beta?
Beta is your HCG (pregnancy hormone) that they test you on your pregnancy test date.
My RE's office wanted to see numbers between 50-100 on that day, with at least a 60% increase two days later. My beta day was always exactly 2 weeks from Retrieval day.

Re: Beta?
beta is the pregnancy test- it measures to see if any, and how much HCG is in your system. As far as eggs go, there's no 'right' #- everyone is different. I had 7 retrieved (and hoped for a few more- though having PCOS was glad to not suffer from OHSS). They tell you a 50% fertilization rate is great- I had 6 of 7 fertilize.... Honestly though my dr told me the retrieval and fertilization #s don't matter--- what matters is how many make it to transfer day, as well as how many are cryopreserved (if you have any and if you choose to do so). Also as far as cryopreserved, if you need to do an FET in the future, there's no guarantee that they will all thaw properly and be 'good' come transfer day. Not trying to scare you, just inform you. Good luck.

Re: Beta?
The absolute BEST advice anyone on here can give you is to take it one day at a time. If you look at IVF as a whole, it's a MOUNTAIN.... the meds will make you when you get them all at once. I promise you though if you just take it one step at a time, it'll be done before you know it.

Re: Beta?
You may want to read my IVF diary-although my protocol was a bit different than others it gives a general idea of the timelines and what happens day to day.
I've also posted this before and find it really neat and helpful:

I totally agree...the meds, the timing everything...can get overwhelming. One thing at a time
