Beta 3
We needed 1072, my beta was 1990!! My progesterone is ok, but now my estrogen is low. Dr. Brenner told me to start taking estrace tonight. Anyone have experience with low estrogen? I am so nervous!!! Does estrace work quickly?

Re: Beta 3
Low E2 happened with my first pregnancy....It did not end up good....
I don't want to scare you since every case is different but it my case it was not good...
Your beta is a little on the lower side so perhaps you had a late implanter and once your body goes into full gear your E2 will go up as well!!
GL!

Thanks for responding. How far along were you when you were diagnosed with low estrogen? Did you take supplements?
My doctor is happy with my beta numbers for how far along I am, so I think I am in an okay range!

Re: Beta 3
I disagree with the PP .. your beta seems perfect to me!! What matters is that its doubling at a good rate, and IT IS!! I know it's hard, but try not to be discouraged. I used estrogen after my transfer and it had nothing to do with my loss.
Also, try not to get discouraged with what the PP said about this not ending well for her. The only journey that matters is your own!! ..... I remember when I had the subchorionic hematoma and everyone told me it would be fine.. they had it too and their baby was fine.. etc... and in the meantime, I lost 3 babies at once because of it.
If your doctor isn't worried, I would try to sit tight and take that as a good sign. I would be proactive though and ask if you could get it rechecked (if they did not suggest this already) so that you know that your estrogen level is where it should be.

Like I said everyone's case is differernt so dont go by mine but you asked a question so I answered....
It seems that my body doesnt produce sufficient estrogen during pregnancy...I have done few IVF cycles and while I stim everything is great and I produce many eggs...the problem comes after ER.. My E2 drops to very low levels...I do patches sometimes even 2 at the same time and my E2 is still low...I get a positive beta and by my 2nd beta my E2 levels are usually in the 30s which is considered low....by 6 weeks I lose the pregnancy...doctors think E2 is to blame... My luck
What is you level do you know? Your beta is fine and it doubles nicely so no need to worry but by 5 weeks 2 days it should be in the 3k's, yours is almost 2k so looks like your little embie is behind a day or two ( late implanter-simply means lower beta nothing to worry)!! that could be the reason your E2 is lower... Once you have a heartbeat ( by 6 weeks) your E2 is not as important so try not to worry....we never make it to the heartbeat....
maybe I shouldnt even reply... Didnt mean to worry you
GL!!!!!!

Great beta!! I have no experience with estrace, but my dr. has had me on estrogen patches since ER, and an estrogen/prog suppository since ET. No bad effects so far. Good luck!

Re: Beta 3
I was a hormone replacement FET, my program was like 7 lol and i freaked....I'm now 18 or 19 weeks, lost count! I called and asked doc I got so worried....I had off and on bleeding my first tri but all worked out ok....don't get hung up on beta....mine was opposite, super high....I did my 12 week bloods came back super high risk for downs, did Amnio and he's fine....my point, think positive! It's so hard I know but def don't compare you to anyone..I must have heard 300 stories on low progest and miscarriage and I beat myself up....same thing with my whole downs experience....I'm telling you, ivf and FET pregnancies are different!!

Re: Beta 3
I just took my last estrace this morning. We are at 9w2d and doing great. Estrace is the easiest of all the crazy meds we have to take, no worries.

I second this!!! Everyone's circumstance is completely different. I have a lot of faith and trust in Dr Brenner and if he feels good about your situation then I think its safe to take comfort in that!
