Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
We are looking for a DD-centric vacation for a 2 year old. We do lots of adult/our-own picked vacations and outings and now I really want to plan some kid oriented things geared to what is best for her. Any suggestions besides Sesame Place?

Truthfully, any vacation can be kid centric like beach, cruise.
Disney & Disney cruise are very kid focused.

Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
We are going to orlando in May. Chose a timeshare resort that is VERY kid centered... Like there's a sprinkler park, pirate ship water slides, etc. Not going to do the parks. I think it would just be too much for her. Plan on going to zoo, aquarium etc

Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
We did Disney with our DD at 19 months and she did great. Sesame Place with her at 17 months and she was just able to enjoy it then, I think a 2 year old would be able to do more. This summer we're planning Dutch Wonderland and staying at the Eden resort, and then a trip to CT and Mystic Aquarium in the fall. Just for some ideas.

This is not necessarily geared toward 2 year olds, but putting it out there anyway; we did Lake George last summer, DS was only 19 months, & we had a great time. Just playing in the sand & going in the lake/pool was fun enough, but in town there are a few arcades, there was a fair going on when we were there, there's a super tiny amusement park w a merry go round...it was our first real family trip & it was really nice.

Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
We rented a house in LBI for the week last summer. It had an inground pool and was 1 block from the beach. She had a blast. We would like to do this every summer from now on.

Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
So far we have done Disney & Ogonquit, ME. My older DS will turn 3 in May. Both vacations were so much fun, and perfect for a 2 yr old. This summer we hope to go back to Maine, as well as go to Lancaster and do Dutch Wonderland and other stuff in the area.

Hands down - nothing can beat Disney World IMO. We took my DD for the first time when she was 2 (2yrs, 4 mo) and it was the happiest I ever saw her honestly in her whole life! The magical look on her face when she met Minnie and mickey and the princesses is something I will never forget!

Re: Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
Im of the opinion that Dinsey isn't great for a 2yo. They might have fun but are too young to really get the wonder of Disney. I personally don't think it's worth it (and this is coming from experience.)
When DS was 2.5 we took him to Lancaster, PA and he had an incredible time. He was so happy and he remembered the trip for quite a while. We stayed at the Eden Resort which he loved bc of their outdoor water area, did Day Out With Thomas (but this only took 1/2 day and we were there 5 days, you could actually just take a train ride which she might enjoy), went to Dutch Wonderland which he LOVED!!!! He was/is tall for his age so he was able to get on most rides and it turns out he really enjoys rides and roller coasters so this was definitely a highlight. We also went to Kitchen Kettle Village which is touristy and not kid oriented but he was fine in the stroller and enjoyed looking around and eating ice-cream. There are other things to do in the area and it's a trip I recommend for that age.

.
I think this depends on the child - wasn't true in my experience at all. In fact, quite the opposite - they are young enough that they REALLY believe the "wonder" of Disney.

Best Vacations for a 2 year old?
Definitely nothing beats Disney for both a 2 year old and parents. There's so much there for all ages, and kids under 3 are free!
