best rear facing car seat (jeep compass)
I have DD in her infant seat but she's growing out of it. I need to buy a convertible car seat, but I it is such a tight fit in my Jeep Compass with the infant seat, and I'm worried about what convertible seat would work in the rear-facing position in that car.

Check out the gracos.. We have a my size 70 in our patriot but I don't think we ever had it rear facing in there. We initially bought it to rf in my civic though. It didn't leave much room for the front passenger but it worked. I didn't love the seat but we now have a graco contender which I really like and is similar in size. Definitely check that one out.

We have a clek fllo in our smaller car. It's narrow but tall.

I saw this and the diono which looks nice. We have the Graco 4ever, but it is a tight fit rear-facing. Does this fit well in the rear position?

I think it does. We have her in the middle and you can fit a passenger on either side. DH is 5'10 and doesn't have trouble with being too close to the wheel. The fabric is divine!
ETA it's also has a very high limit for rear facing which was important to us because I plan on rear facing DD until she has her own drivers license

We have the Graco 4Ever in 3 different cars, the smallest being a Rav4, which is actually a bit smaller (interior) than the Compass. And it fits fine in the Rav4.
