best place to buy UppaBaby?
My grandma wants to buy us our UppaBaby so I want to try to find it for the best price and am not limited to our registries. Can you use BBB coupons on the Uppababy even though it's technically excluded? (We've used a Bed Bath coupon on a Wusthof knife set for a friend's wedding gift even though that is excluded too)
Any online sites have the latest model for a better price? (or at least tax-free?) We want the one with the magnetic "sunroof flap" and not the velcro.
Finally, can you use completion coupons on the Uppababy? I was thinking about adding it to our registry the morning of our shower knowing that nobody would buy us a $600+ gift last minute, and then use the coupon to buy it before the baby comes?
Any other ideas?

you can definitely use the completion coupon in it; not any of the other ones.
I got the 2010 model on albeebaby but if the 2011 model is that important to you (i compared the one we got with the in store one and it looked exactly the same, except $140 cheaper) then I would just get it at BBB with the 10% off coupon.

You can use the completion coupon on it...you can even use the completion coupon on it after the fact and get a price adjustment. DH's parents bought it for us as a shower present and now we have the coupon and I called and they confirmed they will do the price adjustment if we bring the receipt which we have.
You cannot use the regular coupon on it, MIL tried without success

I'm pretty sure the 2011 model is exactly the same as the 2010, I believe that the only difference for the 2011 strollers are color choices.

Are they the same? I'll have to look into it and see what the price difference is. When we went to BBB they had 2 version and one had extra features and the top part had magnets v. velcro (my mom thought velcro would wake a sleeping baby and that the magnets were an improvement) but if it's a big price difference it might not be worth it.
We were also hoping to get Cole Slate or Myles Blue so will have to check if those are "new for 2011" colors

FAQ for Uppa Baby Vista
What are the new features of the 2011 VISTA as compared to the 2010 model?
There are no new features on the 2011 VISTA. We have updated the stroller with 2 new color fashions, Lindsey (wheat) and Cole (slate).

was that the special edition one though, in that funky yellow color? I thought that one must have had a few more bells and whistles since it was $20 more. not sure though.
I'm pretty sure BB said there was no difference, but I'd have to check it again. either way once i got it I put it together and loved everything about it so it didn't matter to me if it was 2011 or 2010.

Re: best place to buy UppaBaby?
I must have seen the 2009 edition and the 2010 or 2011 edition then. The newer model had different writing on the sides, a few upgrades, etc. Unless we decide to go with the Cole Slate which I guess is 2011 only I guess there isn't a difference between 2010/2011 but I don't want the 2009 version. Schneiders had it slightly cheaper but it looks like they had the old version out on the floor
Is albeebaby still running their sale? I looked and they have the Myles blue (but sold out) and not the Cole but all are full price and the 15% off doesn't apply to Uppababy

Re: best place to buy UppaBaby?
it was only the orange one that was on sale. I actually didn't love any of the other colors so I was happy with the orange, and I liked it even more in person.

Re: best place to buy UppaBaby?
amazon has the uppababy in orange for 579... hmmm... guess we have some exploring to do (edit: its the 2009 though). Albee baby does have it for $549 but in a different area of their website. hmmmmm

right, it's under closeouts. maybe they are discontinuing the orange? it was still in the store though so no idea why that color is a closeout.
it's not a cheap stroller, but it's awesome. You should get the color you want and just use the 10% off.
