Best formula to use with breastmilk
Hi I have to go back to work and I was wondering what is the best to use with a gassy baby whom I breastfeed.. My daughter will only be 6 weeks..

I use enfamil lipil premium and don't have too many issues, he's a little gassy, but aren't all babies?

It is Nestle Good Start, there isn't a Gerber Good Start
My friend is a NICU nurse and she told my BFF to use either Good Start or Gentlease when supplementing

My friend is a NICU nurse and she told my BFF to use either Good Start or Gentlease when supplementing
We used Gentlease with DS when supplementing and he did really well. We'll do the same for DD if/when we decide to supplement.

Actually, Gerber owns Nestle Good Start and they've been changing the brand name over to Gerber Good Start. I got confused myself when I saw the new cans!

Gentlease!! It is reduced lactose and partially hydrolyzed proteins. The reduced lactose helps prevent gas, which is common in newborns, more so w/formula fed babies. Formula fed babies tend to eat a bit more than they need and get lactose overload - therefore having gas issues.

if it makes a difference -- it's much cheaper than gentlease
