Best coffee pot??
Reccomend The BEST.
I drink a lot of coffee, so I would rather spend money on a really good pot that buy 30 $25 dollar ones a yr.
I have a Cuisanart...lasted a while, wante something better.
Got the Senseo single cup one..I am going bankrupt on the copst of these pods and the machine succks.
Anyone have the tassimo( sp? ) single serve?

IMO, everyone's different. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my krups moka brew, since it makes coffee similar to germany (strong, but not espresso strong). I also don't mind the fact I had to invest in a very pricy espresso-quality grinder to custom grind my beans to moka brew size (between drip and espresso)
here's your best resource to figure out what is best for your tastes and needs....

I am not a coffee drinker, but, DH is and he LOVES the Tassimo!!
He makes coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and I believe Lattes.
I think he feels it was a good investment.

That's what I have and I LOVE it.... you'll have to look at the Tassimo website and see how the price of the t-discs compares to the senseo pods... it adds up, but I think it's worth it

esspresso,cappucino,lattes, hot cocoa and even tea
linens and things and bbb have it for $169 plus if you use a coupon its only $136 plus there is a $30 rebate and you also get 2 free coffee tdisc packs
edited to add they are very rough on their stuff and we always say things should be tested by them to see if they last
they have had it for over 2 years already and its still in great condition

My issue with the Senseo I have is it takes 2 pods to make an "almost" full 8 oz mug.
I usually drink 2 of those a morning, and more like 4-5 a day, so I was usuing 10 pods a day just to not even get a full cup of coffee.

the one thing about the Tassimo is that it's kinda loud.. does any one else notice it? I make my coffee in the morning praying that it doesn't wake the baby

my mom got me a GREAT coffee pot. it's a mr. coffee carft(sp) it does not burn the coffee.. no hot plate and it says fresh and hot upto 4 hours.... I LOVE IT

But what size cup? an 8 oz mig? Does it fill it all the way?

It prolly fills it about the same then... leaves enough room for milk in a regular size mug... after it makes the cup you can continue to hold down the button to make more... obviously it starts to get a little watered down if you hold it for too long, but you can get a little bit more from it

We have the Tassimo and I love it! We also have the Hamilton Beach Brew Station for making pots of regular coffee and I love that as well!
