Belly/String Baby Shower Game
If you played this at your shower, how exactly is it done? My sister really wants to play this at my shower but I just want to make sure we do it "right" lol! So what do we need and how does it go?

We had a roll of ribbon and a scissor for each table. They passed it around and everyone just cut where they thought was right. Then I walked around each table and they put the ribbon around me. The one who was closest got a prize.

I saw this done at a shower a few months ago and I thought it was horrible. JMHO.
THey got a large spool of curling ribbon and passed it around to everyone there. Everyone had to guess the girth of the pregnant woman and then they all measured their ribbon cuts against the correct length (obtained by cutting a piece the correct girth).
The person whose ribbon was closest in length to the right length got a prize.
I purposely cut mine short, as I didn't see where cutting a ribbon 5 feet long would serve any good to the ego of a woman strggling with her self image from the size of her ever-expanding body.

I agree, I'm pregnant....my belly is supposed to be big. I'm looking forward to playing at my shower. Maybe I'll even mess with people and stick a pillow under my shirt

I just played this at my shower. I made a little game card on the computer that said -
Measure the Belly
Prediction___ inches
Name_____
then we collected them all, measured my belly with a soft measuring tape and whoever got the closest with out going over won! Two people tied so we did a tie breaker. It worked out very nicely!

I agree, it was too much fun! My mil and guessed double my actually belly size and we were all laughing. It was all in good fun!
