Now, I could be completely wrong but I'm going w/my aunt's theory about how your body changes.
It seems that w/a girl your body goes wider in width. With a boy, you carry mostly in the front, no changes in the back.
Again, this does not hold true for all and I could be 100% wrong. I hope I didn't insult...it's JMO (or old wive's tale)

oh no - not insulted at all!!
that is what my mother told me too and she said she carried that way - and had 2 girls
the only thing i told her is that she doesnt know how she would have carried a boy since she didnt have one LOL
